This little guy was such a joy to have in the studio. He came with his parents and older sister and slept through his whole newborn session.
From his chubby cheeks and his many expressions, to his tiny little toes, creamy skin, beautiful head of hair and the love between everyone it was such a joy to capture all these beautiful moments for them!

This beautiful girl and her family came back to the studio a week after their Fresh 48 session (see the previous blog post) to take some family pictures and pictures of their baby girl by herself.
The session went so well, big brother Harry was so gentle with her. It’s often a confusing time for the siblings when all of a sudden they have to share the attention, we just play and most of the time we get some beautiful interaction photo’s.
I heard some beautiful barnboard frames are in the making, I can’t wait to see how they will display some images in their home!

Little Islee was born on December 14 and I was able to meet her the following day to photograph all those special moment and details for her Fresh 48 session in Woodstock hospital.
Big brother Harry was so sweet for his little sister, how amazing for them to look back when they are older to see their first moments together.
They came back a week later for their newborn session in the studio, keep an eye out for that session to follow soon on the blog!

This sweet little girl came back to the studio and it was such a pleasure seeing her again. She has grown so much since her newborn session and I can still hear her sweet giggles when I look back at her photo’s.

This beautiful family and their gorgeous baby girl came to the studio last week.
Little Ava was not planning to go to sleep at all for her session, but in the end we got some sleepy shots. I always tell parents not to worry as we can do lots with an awake baby, but I have to say that this little girl was the most relaxed awake baby I have had to date! With the cutest facial expressions.
Her big sister joined in for some of the photo’s as well and she was ever so sweet!
It is such a wonderful experience as a photographer when parents are so enthusiastic about your work. When they trust your vision and they love everything you do. I am so excited to deliver this gallery to them.

I received a message on Saturday morning early from my friend to tell me their little one had arrived, a bit earlier as expected.
They had a healthy baby boy, born safely at home.

Maybe you can remember the beautiful maternity session I posted a little while ago, well this little boy arrived just a few weeks later.
Rachelle from the start told me she wanted a Fresh 48, she loved all those little details. And there were so many to capture.
Abel was not even 5 pounds, but had a beautiful had of hair. And as you can see also lots of fluff on his beautiful face.
Fresh 48 sessions are a favourite of mine, how will you otherwise remember how little your babies fingers were around yours, and how fluffy their cheeks were?

What is more beautiful than a woman about to bring new life into the world.
Pregnancy feels like an eternity when you are in it and a blink of an eye when you look back on it, but it is the only time when you and your child are one.
It deserves to be captured as the beautiful time that it is, especially because it doesn’t always feel that way.
Pregnant women deserve to see the beauty in themselves and their incredible, life creating bodies.
I could photograph maternity all day every day, but photographing my dear friend is even more special.
Seeing the love and anticipation on Alysha’s face and getting to capture this moment for her before her little one arrives is such a special gift and I am so grateful.

They are finally here, the pure and simple ‘white onesie’ newborn sessions.
I am so excited to be offering these!
The sessions will be shorter, baby only, in a white onesie.
I will be capturing anything from their little flaky hands and feet and squishy cheeks, to the way they stretch, yawn and sneeze.

I didn’t realize that photographing my best friends baby would be such an incredible experience. I didn’t think that it would be any different than my newborn sessions in my studio.
But it was. Maybe it was because we know each other so well and we have been friends for so long. It was so real…
You could see the tiredness of sleepless nights, the emotion of becoming parents, but above all the adoration, the love they have for this beautiful miracle! I love that you see all these emotions, this is what I love capturing.
And meeting her and cuddling her was pretty special!
